Tea Garden
Every batch starts in Assam's tea gardens, where our team selects estates based on leaf quality, not just price.
Fresh Leaf Collection
Leaves are hand-collected at the right point of maturity, timed to capture the aroma we're actually after.
Sorting
Collected leaf is sorted to separate the grade we want from everything we don't.
Cleaning
Sorted leaf is cleaned thoroughly, clearing out anything that doesn't belong before processing begins.
Processing
Cleaned leaf goes through CTC (crush-tear-curl) processing under the supervision of experienced tea technologists, developing the strong liquor Hunter Tea is known for.
Drying
Controlled drying locks in aroma and colour, stopping the leaf right where we want it.
Quality Testing
Every batch is tasted and graded — colour, aroma and strength are checked before anything moves further.
Packaging
Approved batches move onto fully automated packing lines, sealed to withstand transit and protect quality until you open the pack.
Final Distribution
From there, packs move out to our retail and distribution network, ready for your shelf or your kettle.
